I w instructed by the "irector of the ar "rade epartment to acknowledự« receipt of your letters of 8th #bruary and 17th March, Bet. 15369, relative to the export of fire-arms from the United Kingdom to neutral

stinations in the Jar Nast. I am to state that the hole question relating to the export of sporting

munition has been under the consideration of the ar (fion, and it has not been possible to give an earlier waly to your letters. It has now bem decided that Licenses cannot be granted for the export of sporting pamition to any destination at the present time. i further communication will be addressed to you as soon as ossible in regard to the export of sportinė arms, as it la believed that the manufacture of these goods ʼn to be

in-ontinued.
